COVID-19 Vaccine Update

VACCINE STATUS: Goodall-Witcher Healthcare is scheduling Pfizer and Moderna vaccines at our Clinics in Clifton and Whitney. Vaccines are available for ages 5 years and up. Vaccine Guidelines:

  • 1st doses of Pfizer can be administered to ages 5 years and up. 1st doses of Moderna can be administered to ages 18 years and up.
  • 2nd doses of Moderna MUST have been administered at least 28 days prior. 1st doses of Pflizer MUST have been administered at least 21 days prior.
  • 3rd Dose booster- Moderna/Pfizer MUST have been at least 5 months since 2nd dose.
  • 4th Dose booster- Moderna/Pfizer MUST be age 50 years and up and MUST have been at least 4 months since 3rd dose.
  • 4th Dose booster- Pfizer may be administered to certain immunocompromised individuals (see below) 12 years of age and older MUST have been at least 4 months since 3rd dose
  • 4th Dose booster- Moderna may be administered to certain immunocompromised individuals (see below) 18 years of age and older MUST have been at least 4 months since 3rd dose

CDC now recommends that people whose immune systems are compromised moderately to severely should receive an additional dose of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine after the initial doses.

This includes people who have:

  • Been receiving active cancer treatment for tumors or cancers of the blood
  • Received an organ transplant and are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
  • Received a stem cell transplant within the last 2 years or are taking medicine to suppress the immune system
  • Moderate or severe primary immunodeficiency (such as DiGeorge syndrome, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome)
  • Advanced or untreated HIV infection
  • Active treatment with high-dose corticosteroids or other drugs that may suppress your immune response
