Develop QA goals and objectives. Coordinates and oversees the hospital QI plan development, review, revision, and implementation. Prepare agency and all pertinent QI information for monthly reporting to CNO. Develop department policies and procedures as they pertain to QA. Provide support for all quality improvement/risk management activities within the hospital. Monitor high-risk, high-volume, problem-prone situations in the hospital and mobilizing improvements in the hospital system to decrease the possibility of problems occurring. Also monitors situations that have or may cause harm to patients, families, visitors and hospital staff. Completes and submits all reports required to the regulatory bodies as required by the State. Maintaining excel reports, enforcing Q/A & Infection prevention measures. Must take admin call which includes being available to fill shifts in various departments as needed.
Qualifications or Skills Required
REQUIRED: RN licensed by the State of Texas. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. BLS required. Five years clinical experience minimum, 10 years preferred. Minimum of three years management experience. Must demonstrate the ability to coordinate and delegate to other members of the healthcare team. Mentor staff to enhance staff development and quality outcomes. Organized, self-directed, task oriented, and able to utilize Excel with proficiency. Requires intermittent walking, sitting and standing; some bending, stooping and reaching. Lifting up to 40 pounds and occasional heaving lifting in supporting or moving patients that may suddenly become weak or helpless.

Conducts client intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, then makes recommendations to the primary care provider concerning clients’ treatment goals and plans.
